Champion-move alert
Catches when a claims director or referral approver changes jobs, and drafts the response before the account goes cold.
The problem
Also built for a motor-insurance TPA managing a network of insurers and repair workshops. When a champion at an insurer rotates out (a claims handler, referral approver, or decision maker), the account loses continuity and the pipeline is at risk.
Those moves were noticed late, if at all, and the relationship reset quietly.
What it does
Each week the agent checks the current LinkedIn employer and title of high-value insurer contacts against what Attio holds.
On a confirmed move it works out the gap left in the account and drafts the outreach for BD to review and send.
Under the hood
Data flow
- Runs weekly in the customer's Claude CoWork against their Attio workspace.
- Processes high-value insurer contacts least-recently-checked first, on a recheck window so people are not re-checked too often.
- For each, an APIFY profile actor returns current company and title, compared against the Attio record.
Outputs
- On a confirmed move: a Last job change stamp (appended, never overwriting history).
- Identification of the affected insurer account and the seat now vacant.
- Two drafts on the person record: congratulations to the mover's new role, and an introduction request to fill the vacated seat.
- An entry in a Champion Moves list (status New, affected insurer, vacated role, confidence) for BD to work.
Guardrails
- Never auto-sends: every message is a draft.
- Never rewrites Company or Job title, which would break account history.
- Flags ambiguous cases as Possible with no drafts, for a human to verify.
- Aborts if the workspace identity check returns the wrong workspace.
What changed
- Champion rotations surface the week they happen.
- The congratulations and introduction outreach is written and waiting, instead of forgotten.
Runs on the customer’s own Claude subscription. No separate model API key, no extra infrastructure. Where an automation uses LinkedIn (APIFY) or firmographic (Lusha) lookups, those run on the customer’s own credits.
